Prescription Drugs Were Hurting His Kidneys – Kevin’s Story

PRESCRIPTION DRUGS WERE HURTING HIS KIDNEYS:
Kevin's Story

Medical Foods helped Kevin's knee discomfort

I have a torn meniscus in one knee and very little meniscus left (near bone on bone). For a couple years, I was getting Orthovisc shots in my knee (a lubricant which attaches to the bone and cartilage, which actually works quite well, but is expensive and wears off in 4-5 months) and was taking a prescription anti-inflammatory.

Over time, the prescription anti-inflammatory began to negatively impact my kidneys, so I had to get off of it. Soon thereafter, I began taking Limbrel, a plant-based anti-inflammatory and osteoarthritis fighter. It was supposed to take 3 months to really see the impact, but after 3 weeks, my knee began to hurt less.

"THE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY PRESCRIPTION BEGAN TO NEGATIVELY IMPACT MY KIDNEYS, SO I HAD TO GET OFF OF IT. "

I am no longer getting Orthovisc injections, and most days my knee doesn’t hurt or only hurts a little. I now swear by plant-based Limbrel, even though it isn’t covered by insurance. Living now, for the most part pain-free, and not having to worry about negative ramifications on my internal organs!

*Limbrel is a prescription medical food product for the clinical dietary management of the metabolic processes of osteoarthritis to be used under a physician’s supervision.
